About me

I’ve been working as a copywriter for over 25 years. Most of that time I’ve worked on staff for advertising agencies including McCann Erickson, CheethamBellJWT and Havas Lynx.

I’ve also freelanced for numerous healthcare advertising agencies including VCCP Health, TBWA Health, Jack Morton Health, DDB Remedy, Digitas Health and Oglivy One. Plus brand strategy consultancies as well as direct clients including Novartis, Manchester Metropolitan University, AES and Hotter Shoes. All of which has contributed to making me an insightful, flexible, well-rounded writer of all kinds of promotional materials.

How do I work? Well I’ll simply find out what you need to say and find a clear and distinctive way to say it that your audience can’t fail to respond to. I enjoy imagining how things are from other people’s point of view – and that helps to find a voice for your brand.

I’m pretty good at listening. Once I’ve asked some questions, I’ll also dig in to find something true and interesting to say about your product. The result is usually creative work that gets results. Sometimes awards too. My work has been awarded by New York Globals, MIMA, PM Society, GRAMIA and HAAG to date.
